Gather and Become
For the magnificent chaos of being human.
We're Human, Just Like You
Like my middle schoolers, I'm still figuring it out. Together, we practice becoming ourselves and making sense of the magnificent chaos of growing up. My life has been filled with questions, stories, and small moments of wonder, especially those that invite us to think more deeply about belonging, learning, and what it means to become ourselves. Some of those questions have led me to be a counselor, educator, lecturer, and doctoral researcher. Others have simply led me deeper into the experience of being human.
My work lives at the intersection of student wellness, school culture, neurodiversity, and educational leadership. Along the way, I've become fascinated by how humans learn to belong: to themselves, to one another, and to the communities they inhabit. Whether through research, teaching, writing, or conversation, I'm especially interested in the invisible forces that shape how we interpret, participate, and grow together.
Somewhere between research, poetry, and recess duty, I'm trying to make a little more room for curiosity, creativity, and delight.
